Access Keys
As well as using the navigation provided throughout the site you can also access the main areas of the site by using our Access Keys.
Access keys have been defined in accordance with the government recommended configuration. The only exception is that we haven't used the character H so as to avoid conflicting with any HELP access keys that you might have set up.
What are the access keys?
- 1 = Home
- 2 = Barnardos Australia
- 3 = Barnardos Ireland
- 4 = Barnardos New Zealand
- 5 = Barnardos UK
- 6 = History
- 7 = Work with us
- 8 = News
- 0 = Access Keys
Windows
All browsers vary, however generally to use the access keys on Windows you press the Alt key and the the relevant access key. Please note the following:-
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4
Press Alt and the access key simultaneously
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and above
Press Alt and the access key and then press the Enter key simultaneously
Netscape 6 and above, Firefox
Press Alt and the access key simultaneously
Apple Mac
Press Ctrl and the relevant access key simultaneously
